After working in the growth of 2D nanomaterials at NTT Basic Research Laboratories (Japan), Roger started a joint doctoral program between the University College London (UCL, UK) and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (Singapore), obtaining a PhD in materials science from UCL in 2016. He has worked as Postdoctoral scholar at Northwestern University (IL, USA), and Project scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (CA, USA). Roger joined ExMI in 2021 as Junior Principal Investigator (JPI) fellow, and established the research group “Biohybrid Nanomedical Materials”, which aims to develop bio-inspired nanomaterials for biosensing and therapeutics.
