Rasika (Integrated BS-MS in Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, India 2019) is a Ph.D. researcher, part of the interdisciplinary, ERC-funded “Meta-targeting” project. Her work aims to disentangle the biological cues underpinning immune cell trafficking within the tumor-microenvironment, as well as the crosstalk between immune, stromal and cancer cells. Such biological insights will contribute to the improvement of (nano)-immunotherapy strategies. In parallel, Rasika is involved in the synthesis and screening of novel anticancer prodrugs for inducing immunogenic cell death and overcoming chemotherapy-resistance.
