Jeffrey is a PhD candidate at the RWTH Aachen University. He studied Biology (M.Sc.) at the RWTH Aachen University and later obtained his M.Sc. in Molecular Biology at the Staffordshire University (2021). His research activities focus on the characterization of immunogenic and programmed cell death (e.g. apoptosis, necroptosis) pathways, and the unravelling of their unique molecular and immunological signature. To this end, he attempts to identify distinct biomarkers for the various cell death mechanisms and their utilization as therapeutic targets thereof. During his undergraduate studies, Jeffrey obtained a multidisciplinary research experience including the investigation of bacterial responses after mechanical stimulation, the specificity of MARylation-detection reagents to various mono-ADP-ribosylated substrates, as well as the design of photothermo-responsive micro-structured hydrogels.
