Yvonne Derks works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging (ExMI, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, DE) and the Department of Medical Imaging, Nuclear medicine (Radoudumc, Nijmegen, NL). Yvonne obtained a PhD in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular imaging at the Radboudumc (NL, 2022), focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and clinical translation of small molecules for multimodal imaging of prostate cancer. She also holds a cum laude M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Radboud University of Nijmegen (NL, 2017).
Yvonne joined the ExMI in 2021, where she works on the development of novel probes for non-invasive molecular imaging of kidney fibrosis by employing advanced imaging techniques such as CT-FLT and SPECT/PET-CT. Additionally, she in interested in establishing innovative drug/RNA delivery systems to improve drug efficacy in different diseases.
